This piece is more about chords and sounds than about a specific melody. I wanted to create a dreamy atmosphere, a kind of sound carpet, we call it "Klangteppich" in German. I could imagine hearing it in the background of a movie, without attracting too much attention. At the same time it could be seen as an exercise for the right hand, as we can hear arpeggio triplets throughout the whole piece.
When I play it, I can see a dark sky with many bright stars. Before finding the title "Movie Night", I called it "Starry Movie". I got told that this does not mean anything, so I re-titled it ;-). I hope you like it!
